The Centre takes a multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach to research, where each discipline brings a different approach to projects, different networks and experiences. The connection is an equal commitment to the importance of quality aged care services and quality of life for older persons.
Equally important is the collaboration with industry providers, professional groups, government agencies, peak bodies and community organizations.
The Centre aims to apply research findings into practical outcomes.
The research profile of the Centre can be best described in terms of a portfolio of primary research areas and research programs. Research programs, at times, have relevance to more than one research area, however all research programs inevitably inform policy and have the potential to change practice.
